Lovely food and great service
We always return to this restaurant when in the Algarve. It is very well run by friendly staff, and the food is delicious. Thoroughly recommend the scallops starters, either au gratin or seared with avocado purée, and then the duck breast with cherry sauce or the monkfish Pituxa in a cream sauce with prawns. As for the homemade ice creams .... wow! Will be going again before we return to the UK and self-isolation!
Fabulous food in a beautiful setting
We ate at Casa Pituxa twice during our recent few days in Vale do Lobo. The entire experience was outstanding: from the communication regarding our reservation, to the welcome, service, food, wines and garden setting. The steak and the fish dishes were delicious, as was the chicken in mushroom sauce. We would thoroughly recommend and look forward to returning when we are next in the Almancil region.
Our family and friends all love Casa Pituxa. We’ve been coming for years and can’t remember anything but great meals, great service and very good value.
The menu is very good, with a good selection of starters and meat & fish mains. Favourites are the prawn/avacado starter and sea bass or sole meunière. The kids love the steaks and this summer the special rump was really good.
The service is excellent - friendly and attentive - and the team led by Angel is always great. It was nice to see plenty of tables taken when we were there (several times) over this especially difficult summer. The outside terrace and decking are lovely.
We’ve tried most of the restaurants around VDL/QDL/DD over many years and Casa Pituxa remains our favourite.
